Canto Slang: Curry Chicken

CANTO SLANG:  EPISODE 11 (VALENTINE’S DAY EDITION)

Gotta keep the slang(s) in keeping with the times right?

CURRY CHICKEN

WTF is that?  How is curry chicken related to anything remotely romantic?

Curry Chicken Slang meaning, cantonese slang definition. thesmoodiaries.comCURRY CHICKEN ORIGINS:

The origins of this one is totally unrelated to the kind of curry chicken that you consume.  Curry, besides its noun definition for the yellow spice, actually means in the verb definition to thrash or to beat, which I assume would inevitably lead to bruising, similar to a hickey.

The second part, chicken, describes the hickey creator.  Hickeys are most commonly seen on the neck or on a visible part of the body. They say it’s because the hickey maker lacks self confidence and esteem in themselves, so they need to let the world know that their other half belongs to them, marking their territory so to speak.  Chicken is slang for a cowardly person, which is why it’s used here.  What a sucker (pardon the pun) huh?

There you have it.  Do you agree or not agree with the psychology of the hickey?  Nevertheless, Happy Valentine’s Day and neck sucking!
